Precision Garage Door has always been dedicated to bringing you REAL, fair and honest reviews. We receive reviews from our customers through many different mediums. To make our reviews more transparent, we have decided to reveal how exactly these reviews get here.
Types of Reviews
This review was a "Report Card Submission". We ask our customers to fill out a "report card", like the one pictured below, at the completion of every job. The star rating is an average of how the technician performed in knowledge, promptness, courtesy, ability to finish the job quickly and in one visit, clean up of the job site and overall quality of the finished work. To add transparency to our business we make these public on our website.
At the completion of every job we ask our customers to review our business on our website. Their comments are reviewed manually for inappropriate language and then posted to the website unedited.
This review was a "Telephone Submission". Often after work is completed we conduct a telephone survey to ensure complete satisfaction with the work we did. With permission, Comments from these calls are transcribed and displayed on our website.
This review was an "E-mail Submission". Sometimes our customers send us emails to let us know more about how we performed. With their permission these are posted to the site.
This review was a "Postal Mail Submission". Our customers send us letters through traditional postal mail reviewing our performance. When they do, we transcribe it and place it on our website.

James arrived 30 minutes late (the office did call to tell me he was stuck in traffic). He quickly evaluated what was wrong and had several suggestions on how to proceed. After I agreed on the work to have done, he completed the job in 20 minutes. Everything seems to work well now.

I usually complain and rarely give complements, but I feel I need to tell you how wonderful an experience I had with your company. From the initial call to when the technician pulled out of my driveway, I was treated like a "customer" -- that doesn't happen much any more. You should be proud of Karen (the customer service representative that took my call) and Brian (the technician who came out to my house); they represented you very professionally and went out of their way to make me feel that they were there to help me. Scott arrived late (he did call to tell me he was running 30 minutes behind, but showed up almost a hour late). He fixed the door and it is working like new. He seemed to be in a rush to get to his next job and left some trash behind. All in all I'd say pretty good service, but needs some work compared to the other reviews I read.

He should have treated you as if you were the only thing on his schedule once he got to your house, however. Wonderful service. The new garage door looks great and is so quiet I check to make sure the door is closed after I push the button on my way in the house. The technician showed up 30 minutes lates (no call to let me know ahead of time). He did a quick inspection and told me I needed a new door -- said the bottom panel was rotted to the point of "no return." He quoted me a door for $1,000. I told him no thanks. I went to home depot and saw I could buy a door for $700. Your company is simply too expensive. No thanks!

As I explained on the phone, to say you can buy a door for $700 and compare it to the door we quoted you isn't fair. The Home Depot didn't include installation and take down (of your old door), disposal (of your old door), and taxes. Also and more importantly, the Home Depot door comes with a 2 year warranty on the hardware and 1 year on the labor. Our door comes with a 7 year warranty on the hardware and labor associated with the install. When looking at the prices it really is not hard to justify the difference. We provide quality product and service at a fair price… we have no intension of providing sub-quality products (like you can find at most big box stores). We also stand behind our service (again unlike the big box guys).
