Numerous electrical appliances including one garage door opener sustained electrical damage due to a tree on the service wire to thee home. I called the door company that did the replacement doors no return call. I called the door company the replaced rollers, etc. no return call. Found Precision on a google search yesterday. Booked an appointment on-line for today 10:00am to 2:00pm. The tech Rich called at 9:30 am said he would be here for 10:00 am. Arrived promptly at 10:00 am. Trouble shooted and provided estimate for opener replacement. Had the unit on the truck, we were up and running again at 11:30 am. In the future it will be Precision.

When your garage door system breaks and leaves your car trapped inside the garage, you need a VERY RESPONSIVE contractor to come bail you out. Precision Garage Door of CT was just that. The on-line appointment booking gave me peace of mind that someone would be available the same day. When Ed called and spoke - it reduced my anxiety that someone is responding quickly and also cares about my situation. Ed's experience and customer service was just AWESOME. He knew what to do, what spring/bearing parts to source and he got right after it. He even drove over an hour each way to find the special parts that I needed. From start to finish, working with Ed was reassuring.

Word of mouth recommendation from my neighbor. I needed a new spring on my double door initially. A tech came out last February to service it. He was excellent and I was very pleased. The door stopped closing all the way and was off kilter recently. I stopped using it and called Precision to come back to check it. The same tech came and fixed the drum and there was no charge! Ed was quick to diagnose our issue (basically everything was busted and overdue for repair.. it was, we haven’t maintained it and didn’t know we needed to), told us clearly and showed exactly what was happening, and quick to resolve. He was friendly and clearly an expert. He gave us confidence the work he was doing would be done well and and that he holds himself to a high standard. He also educated us on what we need to do for proper maintenance going forward to ensure we maximize the lifetime of the equipment.
