It sounds like the recent install of my garage door was done with standard parts in lieu of heavy duty. However, my goal was to have the clunk from the door, on the way down eliminated. There was no effort made to resolve this. I was hoping for some type of adjustment instead of upselling.

What a wonderful experience! I booked a time slot on a Saturday morning and received a call the same day for Ed to come out and assess my garage door opener failure. He diagnosed and fixed everything in less than 2 hours. Super knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely be coming back if I need anything else.

The company responded promptly to a broken tension spring! Chet came and after assessment provided reasonable quotes and an assessment of both our garage door mechanisms due to age, they definitely needed upgrades. All the men from Precision just wanted to do was to sell me a garage door. So I told them to forget it . I called another company. They told me I didn’t need a garage door. He fixed it for 70 dollors CD. They did not meet my expectations . He probably treated me like I was a stupid women. Fortunely I did know about garage repair and I knew I didn’t need a new door. We are sorry we didn't meet your expectations. As we explained in our visit 2 weeks prior, we door section was bent. We straightened it out as best we could. You didn't want a strut to provide some structural support and provide some time for you to decide on if you wanted a new door. On our second visit we informed you that it was not safe to continue to operate your door without struts, and in fact our recommendation was for you to replace the door and we did not want to continue to apply band-aids to a door that needs replacing. Again, we are sorry you didn't agree with our assessment.

Based on online research, I called Precision Door Service after coming home and finding one of my door springs broken. Setting of appointment was quick and easy, with very reasonable service date. As confirmed in email confirmation, I received message from technician, Chet, confirming arrival right in the middle of the time window that was provided. Chet was courteous and professional. He outlined the issues that he found and provided options to consider. I was very comfortable with explanations provided and proceeded with rebuilding balancing systems on both doors. Chet completed the work in the timeframe outlined and reviewed the work with me when completed. I now have garage doors that sound brand new. My operators are aging but still working so I didn't replace them. When needed I won't hesitate to call Precision Door Service to have them replaced.

We had a garage door spring let go and it frayed most of the safety cable & damaged the pulley system. I called in the evening and we were offered a next-day appointment which we couldn’t make. They did a great job finding the next open slot after that. Chet was friendly, quick to diagnose the issue, and did a good job explaining the problem. The fix wasn’t cheap but there was no pressure or upselling. We’re very satisfied with the quality of work and service. We do wish they asked before attaching a company sticker to the drywall in the garage but overall very satisfied and would use again.
