Two technicians came out yesterday to inspect and repair my garage door. They arrived a few minutes early, inspected the garage door, found the spring had broken, and installed a new spring (plus rollers, bearing, etc.). They were quick and did an excellent job. Called to let me know they were coming. They showed up on time and ready to perform the service. Their truck was pretty dingy and dirty but their staff was first rate. The did the job in a very professional manner and the pricing was fair and honest. They noticed the door was fairly old and suggested a new door with all new hardware. That wasn't in the cards for me that day but there was no problem. They installed 2 new torsion springs...a job that is anything but DIY! Tested everything and fixed some other problems with loose or missing screws in the door. They were out of here in under an hour. Great company! Great service! They should wash the truck more often...not that I'm hung up on this but visually it's appearance does not connote the quality of this firm. Highly recommended!

We were pleased and impressed with the service provided by Ron Lecours. He called us to say he was on his way, and arrived on schedule. He was very articulate and helpful, explaining the benefits and differences between an AC and DC motor system. We selected the DC system because it is the most quiet. Ron Lecours was professional and knowledgeable about every aspect of the installation. He patiently answered all of our questions, and covered all of the financial details. I would rate his performance as outstanding, i.e. 5 stars.

Rolando, the service person was great. He was running a bit late, but called to update, which I liked. He was pleasant, and explained what the total charge would be, before he started work. He knew exactly what he was doing, and got right to work. When I asked if I could watch, he said sure, and explained each step of what he was doing. I am very satisfied with the service rep and with the quality of the work. No question. Good guy. Good work. However.....I found the job rather expensive. Remove and replace the loft cables on two doors. It took about 45 minutes or so. The replacement cables were better quality than the original equipment. The charge was $100 service call charge, just to come to the house. Then $80 labor and $80 parts. Was it "a good value"? Hard to say, as I don't do this every day. But I feel like it cost too much. I did receive a 10% senior discount from the bill, but it still seems like a lot for less than a hour's work, and 4 cables. Am I happy with the job - yes, good job, done quickly, and on time. The price....not quite so happy about that, but it was my choice to go ahead with the job, so I guess I can't complain too much.

I came home from work and discovered that my two-car garage door wouldn't go up. So, I started looking for garage door repair companies. I contacted Precision because I was impressed with their website, and I was particularly impressed with their 24 hour services. I was able to get an appointment the next day---two hour window of time (4-6) with a promise that the repairman would call when he was on the way. The man called at 4:15 to say he was coming; he arrived in ten minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken torsion spring and gave me an estimate. I used a coupon from the website to save $99 on the repair cost. The repairman was incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful, and he fixed the problem in about 45 minutes. He looked professional and acted professional. He had all the parts on his truck and knew what he was doing. I would use them again if we needed help. I hope this is helpful.

Paul was GREAT! I am not sure anyone else would have taken on this job. We have very low ceilings and a center beam. When Paul saw the job he was ecstatic to have the opportunity to problem solve and "make it work." We have to be honest - we were worried it couldn't be done. We were so lucky to have Paul as our service man. He was a delight to have around as he was visibly excited with the challenge. To anyone with a "wacky" garage or a project they are unsure of we HIGHLY recommend Paul...Not only does he do an amazing job, he truly LOVES doing it. We had an amazing experience.

When my tech came out to visit , he was professional, knowledgeable and examined the whole problem and assured me that it could be fixed, what he would do and how to do it. I couldn't be more happier than I am with his labor, knowledge and professionalism. He not only fixed the door but was neat, clean and answered any questions I had and assured me that if something is wrong, to call back and he would fix it. Let me tell you this, if I had called Precision in the first place it wouldnt of happened because with techs like the gentleman that just left will make me tell my friends and family that if you have a problem these are the guys to go to ! Quick response and excellent service provided by Brian. WOW, a spring broke on our garage door this afternoon and I called Precision. The lady that answered the call was very helpful and she was able to schedule service within a couple of hours. Brian (Service rep.) came right on schedule, he was very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions before he provided the estimate. I felt it was reasonable and gave Brian an ok to perform the work. He was quick, replaced both springs & cables and then adjusted the door opener. Then he checked the other door and made a couple of adjustments to ensure it fully closed and sealed. I strongly recommend Precision Door Service and if you're in the Connecticut Farmington Valley area, as for Brian.
