Chet had installed a new garage door opener in 2024 to replace our then 9 year old opener. He informed us then that the original tension spring system would probably need to be replaced in the not-very-distant future. Sure enough, 6 months after replacing the opener, the spring failed today. I called Precision Door, and they were able to send someone today. Chet was the service technician once again, and he thoroughly explained what would need to be done and how much it would cost before setting to work. He was quick and very neat, and soon had us back in business. We now have an upgraded torsion spring system that works very well. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Battery backup was a must have and Chet and Precision had what we needed. We used Precision in Florida and that is why we came back to them after we moved to Connecticut. Precision offered almost immediate appointments. The technician Chet was very knowledgeable and diagnosed the issue quickly. He also educated us about the door we have and how it was installed and recommended improvements. I wish we had bought the system from Precision in 2017! This companies website states that they do panel replacements. This is far from the truth when I was quoted 4600 or 7600 depending on the doors chosen for replacement. I only have one door with damage and am forced to replace both. If you have money to burn by all means use this company if not find another reputable garage door company.

The company has a fantastic way to schedule appointments, even in the evening and on weekend for an upcoming weekday. We were able to request and have Chet, the technician who is done installation on our doors, be the person to take a look at our problem. As before, he was very efficient and helpful, explaining all the details to us. He has extensive knowledge with the openers for our unusual vertical lift heavy wood barn doors.
