This was my first experience with Precision and I was very happy with the process. The office-staff answered phones on a holiday and the appointment process/confirmation was painless. Having no prior experience with Precision, I was concerned that I would have to fend off upcharges from their tech on the day of the repair, but thankfully there was none of that. I was very pleased with Jay, who was prompt, knowledgeable, friendly, and handled my repair professionally and with integrity. I'd recommend Precision (and Jay specifically) in the future.

I know this may seem a bit odd, but I chose precision for two reasons...the bios about the technicians, complete with reviews, and the dogs. It is my belief that "dog people" are good people. Chet was the technician who was sent and he even showed up with a badly hurting ankle that he had sprained just prior to coming to my house. His friendly manner, competence and expertise were greatly appreciated. And I was REALLY impressed by how quickly he was able to put the rollers back on track, thus freeing me from five days of entrapment.

I am sorry to inform you that the visit of your technician on 12-06 18 and what he did is one of the worst experiences I have had. I have two garages and old openers. They stopped working so I called your company. He opened the mechanically with his hands. He took a quick look at both and told me the openers were worn off and I would need new ones.I asked How much it will cost. He said $650 each. I am 84 years old. I told him that I cannot afford them. He said "let me get them going for now. in spring /summer you can get new ones . I said Okay. I came inside as it was very cold in the garage. I told him to knock on my door when he is finished. Within less than ten minutes he knocked on my door. I came out and said that was quick. He said I have 40 years of experience. The he tells me " I could not get them going. You have to pay my oil and lube charges of $300.00" and started writing the bill. I was totally shocked and told him " you knew from your 40 years of experience that the opener was broken and not workable, then why did you oil and lube them. His sharp response was you called us and you have to pay! In disgust I gave him my credit card number. Then came your email for my response. I believe I am addressing this to the president of your company and I sincerely believe you could not achieve your success on the basis of what I experienced with your technician. What you do with him is your affair. The least I expect from you is to refund the $300 for his doing nothing but deception and aggravation to an 84 year old decent man. My name is Muhammad Ali. Your website provided really clear education about insulated doors. Information seemed straight forward, transparent, and gave me confidence that I didn’t have about making a purchase like this. The salesman was nice, helpful, and the bonus was you were having a sale. Purchase was an easy decision. The doors are installed—just fabulous. The installer was pleasant, finished when he said he would. The temperature in the garage is much improved, the doors are as advertised, and the bonus is they are much quieter than the old doors. Scheduling was easy for following Monday (my request) since they were offering 'same day' if needed. Ed called earlier on Monday to ask if i would want him to perform visit earlier, so we moved visit to noon. Job was to review problems with 2-3 panels that were a result of car in garage backing up while door still closed. He suggested that he try and flatten the dents in the outside steel panels. It was either that or replace the whole door...cost for 3 panels would be more expensive than to just replace with new door. Ed's patience, skill, and experience enabled him to fix the visual problems with fronts of 3 steel panels to 99% of new. He also brought actual operation of door back to normal. Inside of door still shows some of the damage but the view to the street and functionality were all excellent...so good that I did not need to replace the door. Job finished within 40 minutes. I told Ed that he has taken the fixes he did to the level of art and there is no way any 'you-tube' example could ever come close to teaching the job he did. Final result: my reputation was salvaged (neighbors and casual observers will never notice, yeah, it was my fault) and garage working without strange noises. All for less than the cost of one panel...including a tip for Ed. Ed is probably the company's best advertisement. While you may get various proposals like i did (some only by phone), but I highly recommend starting with Precision for the first to visit.

The scheduled service was a routine maintenance call, which is not listed in this review response. You rescheduled the call but sent me an invoice saying that I had cancelled it - not true, and confusing. You cancelled, not me. You agreed to make the rescheduled call on Friday between 8-9 AM, but when I phoned you said it was 8-12 AM - not true, and confusing again. I won't be home after 10 AM Friday.

I made a appointment, and had to wait two weeks for it. The day of the appointment (at the time of the appointment) got a call to say they couldn't make it. And, I would have to make another appointment. So, I called that evening. They said they would call the next morning. They called at 3:30 and asked if between 12 & 2:00 was Ok. It wasn't. So, I was told to call and make another appointment. I'm not going for another two week wait. It's time to look for another company!!! Toni Clark

I had been meaning to have our two garage doors serviced, and kept putting it off. Then a few days ago one of the doors opened half way and stopped! The motor ran, but the door wouldn't move. The bearing for the sprocket for the chain drive had just worn out. I found Precision on line, and gave them a call. They came out the next day. The technician, Chet, was great. He evaluated both doors and confirmed my suspicions that these 25 year old doors needed a lot of work. He replaced the worn out opener, and the springs and rollers on both doors. He corrected some old work, and gave me a number of tips for things I could take care of myself and save some money. Although he didn't get to my house until 4:00, (I was his last call of the day) he stayed until all the work was done and I was satisfied. The new opener works perfectly, and both doors should be good for many more years. I would recommend Precision without reservation!
