The service was excellent. The technician was on time, very polite and did a great job. However, I was initially charged $479 to replace two torsion springs, and the job took at most one hour. The service call costs $99 and isn't waved if the work is done and labor is $80/hour. Based on google searches a typical charge for a job like this should have been about $300. When I called the manager was very nice and knocked off $30 plus she said the technician made a mistake and wrote that the warranty is one year when it should be five. My only disappointment was the cost. At $449 less one hour of labor I effectively paid $369 for two springs which go for about $42/each at home depot and come with a one year warranty. That's quite a mark up on parts.

Thank you for your business and thank you for this review. We do try to price competitively, however, we will never be as cheap as Home Depot. In fact my cost for the springs we use are more than what I could buy them at Home Depot. The reason is simple... Home Depot buys and sells the cheapest springs they can find. The fact that we can warranty our springs for 5 times as long as Home Depot should be a sign as to the quality of our parts. Something else you haven't factored into your equation is the cost of shipping and taxes (that you would have had to pay Home Depot)... remember we brought the parts to you!

I give you four because five is for me! He,he, now seriously, Paul Haney was excellent and so easy to talk to! I say this because other service persons have an attitude that even if they are not disrespectful, they are not costumer friendly. The service was great and done very professional. The down side is that the opener needs a replacement part and have to wait for it . Will recommend to anyone!

I am extremely pleased at the work that was performed at my house. I called on Saturday and I got an for the next day but when I explained I needed my car they were to get me a time for late Saturday. There was a cancellation and I got pulled up to 1pm. Paul Haney came promptly and reviewed my situation. HE gave me a quote on the spot and when I approved he went right to work. Precision representative Alex arrived at my home to determine if my garage door opener could be fixed. Not only could it not be fixed, because of the age of the opener, which I suspected, but I also needed a new garage door, which I also knew, but had been in total denial about it for quite some time. At any rate, Alex gave me an estimate, I wrote a check for the deposit and exactly a week later, Ray came to my house and installed my new garage door and opener. He arrived at my home at 9:05 and was gone by noon time. He clearly explained how to operate the door and opener with all the extra features. He hauled away everything that was dismantled and made sure I was satisfied with the completed work. I found both Alex and Ray to be very professional and knowledgeable with excellent interpersonal skills. All my questions were answered clearly and to my satisfaction. I purchased a garage door opener with two remotes and an outside key pad. My door is insulated (no more cold downstairs entrance way) and air tight. I can barely hear the door going up or down. I did not even think that was possible, since my old door sounded like a freight train. I would highly recommend Precision Door to anyone. I have always been taught, "you get what you pay for" and in this case, I did. It was worth every penny!
