They were ahead of a schedule and our service person Mr Ed D did an awesome explaining what was going wrong and what is needed. We are looking to replace our two garage doors and asked Precision for an estimate on door costs, installation and then various styles and designs that would be attractive for our garage. The technician was courteous, right-on time and explained the entire process. After our discussions, he left and prepared the overview of our door and installation request while in his vehicle. Ten minutes later we received an email laying out our entire job estimate. We are now evaluating the offer and determining what we want. There was no immediate time pressure and all of our questions were answered professionally - and noted the technician has over 40 years of experience in overhead doors and all types of installations. Now the hard for us is to select the products, installation timing (currently 4 to 8/10 weeks given busiest season) and the firm that best fits our needs. Precision is good firm to work with.

We had EXCELLENT service from Josh!! He fixed our garage door opener and since he was so efficient we decided to have him install a garage opener on our other door. Fortunately he had all the parts and could do it then. So now we have two quiet garage door opener!! We were impressed with Josh for his friendly, professional, skillful and great working ethics. I recommend him and want you to know in this working mess of unskilled, incompetent and careless workers you should take care of and be good to Josh! He’s a gem!!!

My neighbor had work done on her garage door. I spoke with a technician and set up an appointment for an estimate. The technician, Josh Vogel went above and beyond what I expected. He was very respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable so I booked an appointment and got an estimate. I called and spoke with Glenn, who was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. He informed me of a discount that I was eligible for. After speaking with him, put a deposit down and I am waiting for my garage door to be installed.

Josh arrived at the house punctually at 9AM and immediately began troubleshooting the electrical problem which was causing our garage doors to stop working (turned out to be an odd problem in which a broken refrigerator motor had shut off the circuit which was running the garage doors). That problem was remedied and then he inspected the garage door hardware and determined that we had many damaged and potentially dangerous components (springs, pulleys, rollers etc). I agreed to a replacement of all these critical parts and the work was completed in about 90 minutes. My garage doors are now functioning perfectly for the first time in years. Josh proved to be very friendly, courteous, informative and professional.

While it was took a while finding the right phone number to call, when I did make the right connection it went smoothly. The technician Ed came out on time and fixed our door so it would close when ever we pushed the button. It is a great garage door and very quiet. We are very happy with the door and our dealings with Precision.

I personally think I was oversold on the work they did. $700 and half hour later...when all I really needed was a pulley replaced. Oh well. Update from customer 4/22/20: The GM called to explain the detail behind fixes that were required to make my door function "as new" once again. I now better understand why the work cost what it did and am satisfied with the result.

They came the day we called them because our door opener was failing. Chet was the service guy and he was terrific. Explained all the issues and their solutions very thoroughly and understandably. I already submitted this same feedback directly to you on 7/21/17, in response to your emailed request for feedback. I also checked the box that said "please contact me immediately," but never got a call. It made me wonder if any of that feedback is read by anyone. If you ask for the feedback by email, you should read what people send back. If you offer a checkbox requesting immediate contact, you should provide immediate calls to those who check the box. Just some systems problems you should look into. But here's my concern: We were very pleased with the general "tune-up" performed for us on 9/13/16 ($288.95 - work order 3193073, work performed by Ron Lecours), which resulted in smoother and quieter operation, especially with the middle of our three doors, which gets the most use. We had never had the doors serviced, and we've been in the house since summer '07. You returned just under 3 months later (12/7/16) to repair a snapped torsion spring and both torsion lift cables (middle door - work order 3292207, work performed by Rolando Chaparro). The center bearing plate with bearing was replaced. This charge was $485.85 and included a 2-year warranty on parts and labor and a 1-year service fee. You returned on 7/19/17 (middle door again - work order 3656154, work performed by Dave Lanz) because the cable had come out of it's casing and was wrapping itself around the operator rail as the door was raising/lowering. Mr. Lanz, a lovely guy to deal with, reported the operator rail needed to be remounted because it had been shaking too much while the operator was in use, causing the problem. He needed to ask me if he could use one of the 2x8 boards in my garage to fashion a fix for this, which was fine. I was charged $409.00 for this, which included the residential service fee, 2 hours labor. No parts were replaced. Unfortunately, I could not tell this at the time Dave left, but there is a small gap now between the bottom of the garage door and the concrete. Enough for mice to crawl through, and we have unfortunately had (prior to this, not because of this) terrible mouse problems and car damage from them in the winters. We must have that gap eliminated. Although Dave said there was no problem with the 12/7 install of the center bearing plate, it seems something was not done properly, eventually causing the problem that needed to be fixed on 7/19. With a 2-year warranty on the labor that was performed on 12/7, shouldn't the 7/19 repair have been covered? And what exactly is a 1-year service fee? You can reach me to discuss at 860-970-5061.
