As the technician explained. Once you're looking at the electronics of an opener It's not exactly a science to troubleshooting. There simply are multiple potential causes for things like your remote not working. We typically try the least expensive route first -- while always recommending other avenue to pursue. We try very hard to solve customer issues the first time out, but sometimes it does take two trips. Like our voicemail said, we are more than willing to comeback out and continue troubleshooting your issue and would not charge another service call. We are sorry you feel you didn't have a good experience with us.

Not a good experience. The quote was extremely high. Called to cancel order twice but technician still came to the house. When told we reconsidered and that we called twice to cancel he was not surprised. Then asked for payment of a $99 service call charge which we did not know about- were told it was on the robo call before you set appointment - that is garbage as no dollar amount is said- needless to say we are using someone else

We are very sorry that you feel that we didn't communicate the service fee to you. We did go back and listen to the call and the customer service representative did mention the service fee twice and you gave the impression that you understood it. We did also check our phone log and could only find the one call to set up the appointment.

It was a great experience. The service tech, Paul, called earlier in the day to confirm the schedule. He arrived on time, explained what needed to be done and had the parts on hand to finish the repair. I would use Precision again.

When I called to make the appointment, a woman told me the cost would be $99 for them to come out to our house, plus parts & labor. The technician Paul stopped by and did a really good job. He replaced both springs in approximately 30 minutes and the door is working great now. Paul told us before he started that our price would be $329. We thought it sounded high but went through with it anyway because he was already at our house and we needed the door fixed. We think the price was too high and that the woman on the phone is misleading with what she says it will cost. If it was $99 for them to come to our house and most of the door springs I see online cost between $20 - $60 for the set, that would mean the labor charge was $170 for a half hour. That will keep us from using them again.

We are sorry that you feel our prices are too high. We do know that Home Depot and Lowe's sell garage door spring for very low prices. The springs the big box stores are no better that contractor grade parts. They are designed to last 9,000 cycles and come with a 90-day warranty. Our springs are designed to last at least 30,000 cycles and are warrantied 1-year up to 5-years depending on the condition of the rest of the parts on your door. To compare the quality parts we use to those found at Home Depot or Lowe's just isn't fair -- apples vs. oranges. Also your price comparison doesn't include taxes, transportation and your time. Those all add up and when combined with the superior warranty, our knowledgeable staff and the customer support you get from Precision Door its a great value.

Great experience with Precision purchasing new garage doors. We originally got a quote from a big box store, who called our garage "strange" and made it seem that it was going to be a difficult job and would take a month before they would be installed. Called Precision and they were much more professional and knew they could do the job without a problem. And Ray arrived on time, was very friendly, did a wonderful job on our doors. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend Precision to anyone!

Installer did a good job, but appointment time was not met. The evening before I received a phone call to set up a date and time. It was scheduled for 9 am next morning, installer called before 8am that he is at the property already and the door is coming in in 15 min. I had to re-arrange my plans and be there much earlier than anticipated.

I am sorry we didn't meet your expectations. We try very hard to provide time frames that the customer can work with. Sometimes traffic, weather, mechanical breakdowns, etc. prevent us from keeping/meeting the time frame. In this case the installer had a traffic free ride through Hartford -- not something that happens everyday. As a result he was a bit early. When we set up installation appointments we typically do give a time range that starts off at 8 am... perhaps the office people didn't state that the installer could be there as early as 8am.We are truly sorry for any inconvenience .

Paul Haney is an asset to your staff. He is conscientious and cares about the customers he serves. Although your prices seem high for your work, you are a dependable company and have come out to my property when scheduled and have always kept me informed as to when the service person was on their way. Wow! Called late in the day on Monday, and got an apt for Wed. Paul Haney, the technician who arrived, early in fact, knew exactly what needed to be done to fix my problem. He also showed me that my springs needed to be replaced also. He went right to work, knew what needed to be done, and in just about an hour, my garage door was back in operation. I am extremely pleased at the work that was performed at my house. I called on Saturday and I got an for the next day but when I explained I needed my car they were to get me a time for late Saturday. There was a cancellation and I got pulled up to 1pm. Paul Haney came promptly and reviewed my situation. HE gave me a quote on the spot and when I approved he went right to work. Not only did he fix the torsion spring that broke but ensured my door and garage door open was in good working condition. He was quick and very professional. What a great company! The technician came out the same day I called, arrived on time, and quickly fixed both garage doors that had stopped working without trying to sell me any unnecessary parts - all at quoted price for the visit.
