Wow. I was nervous having to call for a garage door repair, knowing that a variety of things could be wrong...but Ed went above and beyond in solving my problems. Not only did he analyze what went wrong before I was even able to explain, he was quick and thorough in telling me my options. Service on our doors was great ! We were called in advance of the tech arrival. He and his truck were totally neat and in order. We were appraised of the recommended repairs and their associated costs. Work was performed in a timely fashion and we took part in testing all of the equipment when he was finished. We paid him and he gave us the write up of the work---------along with future maintenance recommendations.

We contacted Precision for one door issue, something on the front wall, over the door was loose, and I feel, we received an upsell to completely rebuild the hardware for $799.

Thank you for your comments and review. We appreciate all feedback even those that do not look favorably on our business. Upon review of your paperwork, our technician offered you two options: one for less than $200 which would have addressed the specific issue you called us for and one that addressed the multiple issues identified in the safety inspection (many of the items had passed but showed signs of wear). It’s our policy to not “hard sell” and to let the customer choose the option that’s best for them – that’s why you can see an estimate for less than $200. We do, however, feel it’s our responsibility to inform the customer about the overall condition of their door system – and make suggestions on how to address areas showing wear and tear and parts that simply have outlived their economic life. By the looks of everything, it seems like your husband decided that the second option (the one that addressed other issues with the door) was the one he felt was the best for him. I’m not sure what else we can say.

Chet arrived on the time I was told. He quickly found the problem and said he could do the work. It would take him about 30-45 minutes. Chet was done in about 35 minutes. Chet was very professional. I will definitely call and ask for him again. Thank you for the fast service.

Precision was quick to respond to my call for service. They even asked about moving my Wednesday appointment up to Monday, but it did not work for me. Rare that a company will want to move an appointment up- shows me they care about their business. The only negative thing I can say is that we had arraigned a 2pm appointment and adjusted work schedules to that, but the tech showed up at 1pm. Luckily a family member was home, but they were not the one who could make any decisions on repair, cost, etc. The work was done well, a thorough walk through of the new equipment was given and the work area was cleaned up.

Bad communication, unprofessional attitude from technician and management, unwillingness to respond to customer complaints. Everything is automated, no personal service or follow-up. This company will charge you whether or not any work is done, or done well.

We try very hard to make every customer experience as pleasant as possible. This one seems to not have gone that way. Ms. Sharkey called us to come out to look at her broken lift cable. When we arrived, she explained that she believed that the repair should be covered by her existing warranty. We reviewed the work that we had done previously and determined that her broken cable had nothing to do with any previous work and therefore was not covered by our warranty – we installed a new garage door opener in the Fall of 2017. Our technician tried to explain that the warranty for her opener had nothing to do with the parts on her garage door. The customer would not accept the technician’s explanation and immediately called the office. While talking to our general manager she became very nasty and then hung up the phone. The customer refused to pay the service fee, despite having initially agreed to pay it while setting up the appointment. We are sorry that this customer felt we didn’t live up to our promise, but clearly, she just became angry when she realized that the work was not covered by her warranty for her garage door opener. This customer's comments are a reflection of her refusal to accept the fact that our warranty only covers parts and labor for work performed by us.

I was very satisfied with the service I received. Everything was explained to me in language that I could understand. The tech (David) had all the parts with him. He was quick, very capable, and clean. Now my garage door works perfectly and has a lifetime warranty. And the prices were competitive.

The tech called and said he would be at my house within 30 minutes. He was there before that. Tried some things to get the garage door opener to work. I ended buying a new opener. The tech was friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Installed the opener with no issues. Explained everything to me. I would definitely use Precision Doors again.
