Recently I was the “recipient” of a failed garage door spring and cable(on 1 of 2 doors). As luck would have it, it happened on a Saturday. So I “surfed” the web and came upon Precision Door Company. Called and set up an appointment for following Monday. The Tech, Ed Dombrowski, arrived promptly on schedule. He was very friendly and sociable. He immediately assessed the situation and we discussed the work to be done. Based on his recommendation I decided to have the spring and cable replaced on the second door as well. And I was never so glad I did. He wasted no time making the repairs. I appreciated very much Ed’s expertise, recommendations and excellent work ethics. I’ve put Precision Door on “speed dial” on my phone and look forward to calling on them for all my future garage door repairs/replacements, thanks to Ed!

Thank you for your review. We appreciate that sometimes prices seem high given the amount of time spent replacing parts. We did replace the counter balance system (the parts that make the door go up and down effortlessly and safely). We used the best parts we can find; that's why we gave you a 5 year parts and labor warranty. Please look at my competitors, they provide a 1 year warranty on the parts and labor on a new door installation. We hope you enjoy your quiet, well running doors for at least 5 years and fully expect it to work for an additional 5 to 10 years.

I was very happy with Ed's promptness and fixing a problem with the door. He was here a month ago and was able to make the adjustment to the door quickly. And since it was under warranty, there was no charge. I very much appreciated that.

I am sorry to inform you that the visit of your technician on 12-06 18 and what he did is one of the worst experiences I have had. I have two garages and old openers. They stopped working so I called your company. He opened the mechanically with his hands. He took a quick look at both and told me the openers were worn off and I would need new ones.I asked How much it will cost. He said $650 each. I am 84 years old. I told him that I cannot afford them. He said "let me get them going for now. in spring /summer you can get new ones . I said Okay. I came inside as it was very cold in the garage. I told him to knock on my door when he is finished. Within less than ten minutes he knocked on my door. I came out and said that was quick. He said I have 40 years of experience. The he tells me " I could not get them going. You have to pay my oil and lube charges of $300.00" and started writing the bill. I was totally shocked and told him " you knew from your 40 years of experience that the opener was broken and not workable, then why did you oil and lube them. His sharp response was you called us and you have to pay! In disgust I gave him my credit card number. Then came your email for my response. I believe I am addressing this to the president of your company and I sincerely believe you could not achieve your success on the basis of what I experienced with your technician. What you do with him is your affair. The least I expect from you is to refund the $300 for his doing nothing but deception and aggravation to an 84 year old decent man. My name is Muhammad Ali. Scheduling was easy for following Monday (my request) since they were offering 'same day' if needed. Ed called earlier on Monday to ask if i would want him to perform visit earlier, so we moved visit to noon. Job was to review problems with 2-3 panels that were a result of car in garage backing up while door still closed. He suggested that he try and flatten the dents in the outside steel panels. It was either that or replace the whole door...cost for 3 panels would be more expensive than to just replace with new door. Ed's patience, skill, and experience enabled him to fix the visual problems with fronts of 3 steel panels to 99% of new. He also brought actual operation of door back to normal. Inside of door still shows some of the damage but the view to the street and functionality were all excellent...so good that I did not need to replace the door. Job finished within 40 minutes. I told Ed that he has taken the fixes he did to the level of art and there is no way any 'you-tube' example could ever come close to teaching the job he did. Final result: my reputation was salvaged (neighbors and casual observers will never notice, yeah, it was my fault) and garage working without strange noises. All for less than the cost of one panel...including a tip for Ed. Ed is probably the company's best advertisement. While you may get various proposals like i did (some only by phone), but I highly recommend starting with Precision for the first to visit.

Had new rollers and weather seals installed ... Jay our technician was just wonderful. Good communicator and very professional. Will be back if something else is needed. Don't hesitate to call on Precision Door !!

Just had our garage door completely overhauled today and replaced all parts, except motor and chain. Ed was our service repairman and gave my husband a choice as to what our options are. Even though we both had sticker shock when he gave us our price options, Ed was very helpful in reviewing our best option and we accepted it. That was the full repair with a 7 year warranty. Ed did an excellent job in replacing all the moving parts, testing it, making sure that it not only closed properly but adjusted the motor so it closed completely to the ground so no opening was observed (which we had before the repair). Ken, my husband, said Ed was friendly, extremely knowledgeable not only in your product quality but in what we probably would be facing with a competitor. We know you are dependable since we used you years before with Paul (per our notes). PS- we are in the middle of a renovation, the garage was full of boxes and he took the time to help me temporarily remove what we had to move, to the driveway and back, so he could do the job properly.

I chose Precision after review of their website indicating around the clock service. The hardware of the door opener had corroded due to rust on track caused by faulty installation of vinyl siding which allowed water leakage. The cable snapped from the rusted spring. The technician Ed explained in detail what the issue was and quoted the required work upfront. I was very satisfied with the experience from scheduling the appointment to the quality of work performed. I highly recommend Precision.

I chose Precision to service our garage door because I was impressed with the website detail – particularly the many positive reviews. I was also impressed subsequently with the detailed email confirmation that I received, including the name and picture of the technician who would provide service. Ed Dombrowski replaced the cables for our garage door. The whole experience was easy, efficient, and cordial. Ed analyzed all aspects of the door and informed us that only the cables needed repair - that everything else looked fine. In addition, the young lady who scheduled the work was most cordial and accommodating. When I informed her that the original suggested date would not need my schedule, she checked with the supervisor and arranged for a better time. The whole experience could not have been easier. I would highly recommend this company!
